South Korean Ambassador to Iran, Yun Kang Hyean, visited the Kahrizak Charity Foundation in Tehran . He was accompanied by a high-level delegation.

In a meeting with the board of directors, staff, and residents of the Kahrizak, Ambassador Yun expressed his support for the organization. He said that the South Korean government values cooperation with charities and is committed to meeting their needs.

Ambassador Yun also acknowledged the challenges facing trade relations between Iran and South Korea. However, he said that the two countries are working to maintain good relations, as they did during the COVID-19 pandemic.

He noted that the two countries share many cultural and social similarities, and that despite the sanctions, there is still room for cooperation. He said that South Korea is committed to continuing its relationship with Iran through humanitarian cooperation.

Ambassador Yun thanked the Kahrizak staff for their warm welcome and hospitality. He said that he was pleased to have met the organization and that he sees potential for future cooperation.

At the end of the visit, Ambassador Yun and his delegation were presented with gifts, including artwork created by disabled residents of the home.

This action by the Kahrizak Charity Foundation supports Sustainable Development Goal 10 of the United Nations for 2030, which is to reduce inequality within and among countries.
